Sooooo Good!

Love this!.

It gives off such a good happy vibe to it, till 1:21ish.

After that, I like the relaxation. Not sure if it's a guitar or what, but that part is very, very relaxing to me.

There's apart at 2:38 that I don't like, it just sounds like a random interjections. Totally digging it!

Good Looking out, I will soon repost a more edited version, I just been real busy lately but I will do it.

addicting!

Totally addicting. You don't even need to make a full song, just make it loop so it doesn't sound like it skips and I'll be listening to this on loop all day long :)

Good job! I'd love to hear the whole thing when you finish though.

Ahhh! Zombies!!!

I can definitely imagine running away listening to this.
It's got a dark feel to it, like something out of a zombie/vampire game.

about halfway it sort of loses the running feeling though. It's not as prominent as the beginning at this point.

I think I'm gonna listen to this while I play L4D2, just gonna ditch my team and run :D.

yup, definitely that egypt feel.

it definitely has that mysterious feel of egypt to it. I dunno what the entry is for, but if it's for some movie-type thing, I think you should get rid of the drum/bass. That gives it a more modern feel, pulling away from the egyptian/seductive feel.

I think that around 01:56, the feel you were aiming for is kind of lost, and it transitions into something closer to dance.

@02:30, I like this melody a lot! but I'm not sure if it really contributes to the egyptian feel. it still redeems the mysterious feel, but the egyptian part is lost.

I think basically after 02:00, you start to lose the feeling you were aiming for. I think continuing the use of the instrument @ 01:00 would be good (pipe organ?).

Either way, very envious of you ability to write "egyptian" songs :)

thanks so much! i get what you are saying! this is for the Represent a Country contest run by NeonProject. I know i have some more work on this but your comments helped a lot! thanks!

creepy! :D

whoa, definitely the creepy feel is there.
The bells bring it out very nicely.

I think you should do something different than a variation of the "Dance of the Sugarplum Faries", especially since you want to make it into a short. Unless the theme of the short is something similar, otherwise I'd say go with something else.

I don't like how after 1:01 the bells just continue by itself. To me, it's just repetitive and boring.

Would love to see your short when you finish it! Maybe PM me a link?

ps2sony responds:

Thanx for the review and criticism,my animation will be an xmas/horror type project and I felt the little bit would be perfect for a scene in it

love the intro!

I love the intro! but I think later you change the feeling a bit. I'd say around 00:15, maybe you changed keys or something?

It's a shame it's only the beginning since I'd like to hear the whole thing.

also
@ around 00:36, the sound dies down for one track. It makes me think that it's ending, but the same melody continues on. I'd suggest changing the melody at this portion instead of waiting a bit longer (like the 4,5 seconds before you change it).

kodyakoo responds:

Thanks! the first 15 seconds i had the cross filter effect to start it off so that's why the sound changed

Very Cheery!

Works great for carnival music, I was thinking something along the lines of a fair actually.

It gives off a good feel, but I think you should have more of a melody. It's there, but maybe since it's so short, you can't really feel it that much.

@ 0:07 you introduce another track to it. I think that this track need editing. Sometimes it plays out well and blends nicely with the melody, but other times I feel like it's being deconstructive and making it sound like noise.

Other than that, it's all good :)

EraldoCoil responds:

Thanks for the review, Symphonia! I just chose 'carnival' because it's simply a cooler and more fun-to-say word. I noticed what you meant the melody; I'll try to fix that sometime.

Oh, and the other track is introduced at 0:06, actually (but that's beside the point). I'll try to fix this as well.

I appreciate your criticism greatly. Thanks for taking the time to notice both the pros and cons of the song. This review is exactly what I want to see in any review, actually.

Thank you!!

nicely done

It really does give off the feel of being calm. In the sense that you're not really doing anything. The guitar gives a sort of country( not exactly, but this is the best word I know how to describe it) feel.

@2:20, I can still hear the background. The quick strumming. I think if you slow this down alongside the rest, the ending would seem more like an ending. Or maybe fade it out if that's what you like better?

Either way, great song!

sounds like DDR material

not really sure on why you named it blue umbrella, but I like the song.

really like the track that layers over the main melody at 1:21.

the change at 2:00ish sounds a lot off from the main melody. I dunno if you're going for a chorus type of thing, so it's different from the main melody, but i'm just feeling like it's out of place. no solid logic, just a feeling. your return to the main melody @3:13 is pretty good.

good song, i like it!

C0ldFuzi0n responds:

Heh, yeah. On previous attempts I kept getting comments that everything was a little too repetitive, so this time I went for a pretty drastic change just to see what would happen, lol.

oooo, mysterious, i like it.

front reminds me of the pink panther theme, dunno why since it's just a ringing sound.

the reeds(?) help set the mood, which I think is great. A kinda shady/black market/underground mood.

@0:50, i think the second track that enters interferes with the original melody at some parts. you might want to look it over again. other than that it fits rather nicely.

If it's going to be a loop, I think the ending should loop back to the beginning, for the sake of working well in-game.

Great track!

sgste responds:

[EDIT]
The track has been fixed. I hope you enjoy it that little bit more now. ^__^
