great song!

Only problem is that it feels like it should have lyrics. The cheering and applause makes you feel like it's played in a stadium, so i was just dying to hear lyrics. Sounds like a pop song :). something a pop idol would probably sing to.

Work on the ending though. It ends too abruptly, making it feel like a loop.
I'd love to see the final if you fix this. (no lyrics are still fine)

definitely adding this to my favorites. just a hair breadth's away from perfection.

JakoOoOoOoOoO responds:

Thanks!!! yes i know that i should have lyrics!! but i dont have a singer!!! xD!! and the final i think that i should make a fade on it!!! it would sounds excellent with a fade!! but it is in newgrounds now so i cant change that!! maybe i can make a remix later!!! :D

make it longer :)

It's good. I like how the main "melody" first gains accompaniment, but then changes altogether, but can still relate to the original. LIke a spinoff. I just think that it's too short. Or at least make it loop back to th beginning.

Euphy responds:

Thanks man. :)

lyrics please?

ooo, like what I'm hearing. A lot the singers here don't sing very well. Usually off pitch.
Wish you put up the lyrics though. I like to read lyrics for songs so I have a better picture.
Not a huge fan of screaming, but that's just me.

Feels like it starts out more of a rock genre, but then transitions into heavy metal partway through. I don't know if this is what you intended, but I think it'd be better to be consistent.

good song especially if you did it while drunk.

unexpected!

Expected something that'd give me a desert feeling. Probably an arabian feel or such. Still pleased with what I heard. The first few measures made me think it'd be like a scary organ thing. Like something out of the Nightmare Before Christmas.
00:37 the part with the guitar is just great. It changes the mood completely. Makes it feel like something out of a movie scene, when the protagonist is about to get something back/do something big.
2:34 not a huge fan of heavy metal styles. Feels out of place in this composition.
You do pull it back at 2:55 which is nice, but I think starting with something else would be better.
3:18 let me understand why you started with the organ. Seems like it fits in a lot more here than a solo.
4:21 nice ending here. Feels like a good conclusion.
4:30, the sudden change to the organ. I can't tell if I hate/love it. My first impression was it's too sudden, but my second hearing, i actually like it.

All in all, a good track.

Lashmush responds:

thanks alot for the feedback, sir.

the heavier part in the middle is so it correlates with the rest of the album which is death metal at heart. This one is just one of two more melodic tracks for the album.

Glad you enjoyed the song.

nice arabian feel

It does feel authentic arabian. Reminds me of Prince of Persia. Only @ the beginning, I think if some of the notes were held out longer, it's sound more real. Really does feel real. I can imagine a scene with people dancing for sheiks. Ending is dragged out a bit long though. Don't think you needed to drag it out that long.

Too long.

I think it's way too long.
@beginning
feels like a nightmare before christmas/christmas song blend. kinda like it.
@ around 0:50
don't like how it becomes really heavy here. It loses the christmasy feel. I can't hear any remnants of christmas here.
@ around 2:40ish.
This part is just bland. It's the same thing for too long of a time.
@around 3:30
I like the ringing bells sound, but I don't think you've mixed it in well. You just went from heavy to something light.

Don't have time to listen to the rest, sorry.
All in all, it's got some good parts that could probably make up a good christmas song if strung together correctly.
Mostly, it's way too long. You should definitely shorten it.

JM-DG responds:

You're right it's very long :D
And the beginning is quite heavy for a christmas eve which was very fitting with the mood of my Christmas Eve too. Toward the middle/end it's 100% light and joy fitting with the mood of my Christmas day.
Thanks for your review.
I know one of my bad habbit is to make lenghty songs :P...

very uplifting!

Love the beginning. very very uplifting. has a sky feeling. You've portrayed the mood of the sky (if that's how you describe it), very well. I agree with GULURMWAG. You could've made it more calming. Around 2:10ish it leans a lot towards trance. I know that's the genre you put it under, but I think it should stray from mainstream trance.

omfg so cheerful :)

i love how it's so catchy and cheerful. Totally my type of song on a good day.

Make it longer! I want more! I was so sad when it ended :(.

Definitely favoriting this.

love the feeling.

I especially love the melancholy feel at around 0:45. Like BrokenPaperWings, I'm a sucker for mellow piano too :) Nice and easy on the ears. Something I could definitely sleep to. Good dynamics, although some of the crescendos feel kind of rough.

Not really agreeing with the strings. I think it'd be nicer if you used them more instead of just a small insert.

The ending around 2:50ish is great.

Gonna sleep to this tonight!

gives off a good elvish feel!

Gives off the nice feel of a forest, along with something mystical. The only complain I'd have is that the sound quality isn't that good. I think the instruments could've had more feel to them.

No fault of yours though. Good composition!

jkap1 responds:

No you're right, I had things turned up too loud, I don't think I mixed it right, and probably could have spent more time adding dynamics and focusing more intently on the details... so all that is definitely my fault. Thanks for the solid input. I'll remember it whenever I'm making another piece in this style.
